Beside an open grave we stand,
As others, staunch and true have stood,
Brother! I greet you hand to hand,
With this sure pledge of brotherhood
And tho' our paths may be apart,
My feet shall haste to help your need,
And foot to foot - as heart to heart,
Bring kindly words and trusty deed.
Pray for me! in your hour of prayer,
And I, for you, will suppliant be,
Humbly imploring blessings there
>From our Creator - knee to knee.
Tell me all you'd have to do
For all the dear ones, loved the best,
Sacred is the trust, which you
Whispered to me breast to breat,-
Clasp me in a brother's arms,
Parting this, we fear no slip-
No false tongue - no false alarms
Bid me doubt a brother's grip.
Life and death - so close combined,
Bind each for the other's good,
Till in the Lodge above, we find
Sorrow past - Peace understood.

thanks so much for your assistance.”
